What's new & information of DRH Project activities.

Category: DRH Project Title: Pilot Project (“Disaster Reduction Technology List on Implementation Strategies”, January 2005) posted in the DRH Project (Phase-I) page 2010/07/31 The entire volume of “Disaster Reduction Technology List on Implementation Strategies” was posted in the DRH Project page (Phase I section) at ( http://drh.edm.bosai.go.jp/Project/Phase1/Japan_List/Contents.htm ). The book was published as a contribution from Japan to the United Nations World Conference on Disaster Reduction (WCDR), Hyogo-Kobe, January 2005. The volume played a role of a “Pilot Project” that lead to the DRH Project. The Pilot Project book contains 42 disaster reduction technologies that were developed under the leadership of Japanese institutions. Some of them were re-organized as DRH Contents. They are significant as a prototype of the DRH. You are encouraged to access the contents of the Pilot Project through this web page as important supplementary information to the DRH contents. Category: New Contents DRH system version up to Ver.3.4 2010/04/06 Dear all: On 6 April 2010, the DRH website ( http://drh.edm.bosai.go.jp/ ) was upgraded to Ver.3.4. Major modifications are as follows. * Top page: + DRH copyright policy was posted. (bottom-left) + "DRH Alliance" links were incorporated. (bottom-left) + A new page was added to acknowledge (on a proposal basis) institutions contributing to DRH contents using their organizational logos. (Click the bottom line) * DRH Forum (Propose a technology) page: + General Guideline for DRH contents contribution was posted. * DRH Forum (Discuss technologies) page + DRH Facilitators can access and discuss all proposals under facilitator-proposer discussion (stage 3) regardless of the categories (IOT, PT, TIK) they are in charge. Category: Web-system DRH Websyste upgraded to Version 3.3 2010/01/17 Dear all: On 17 January 2010, the DRH website ( http://drh.edm.bosai.go.jp/ ) was upgraded to Ver.3.3. In the new version, major extensive enhancements were realized to download contents as PDF file. You can download an individual content of "Technology description" via a PDF file (including pictures) unless you do not login. If you login as Full Profile Member, you can download some contents as one PDF file. RSS feed subscription is now available. Click "RSS subscription" at the page header and RSS subscription page is shown. On the right of the page, click on the "subscription" link at the left of the content title you want to receive. Click on the content title and you can see same information as RSS feeds on this window. Any other update/upgrade were applied. * Click pictures/photos in contents and open the original file in a new window. * The item of an empty column was prevented being displayed in "Application Examples". File list in "Attached files" is also revised. * Picture inserting function is revised in "Propose a technology". * Expand multi-language items in DRH Website. * "DRH favicon" is shown in each page. * (Fix various "bugs" in the program.......) Category: DRH Project IHP-DRH Workshop uploaded 2009/11/26 Dear DRH members and visitors, The records of the IHP Flood Project - DRH Implementation Workshop (IHP-DRH Workshop), Wuhan, China, 3 November 2009 has been posted on the DRH Project page of the DRH web site. The Workshop was to promote DRH involvement in the UNESCO's IHP (International Hydrology Program) Flood Project, in which the mission of DRH is to take a role of information dissemination of outputs from the IHP Flood Project for implementation in practice for disaster risk reduction. The objectives of the Workshop were 1) mutual understanding between IHP and DRH members, 2) establishing a consensus on the significance of IHP and DRH incorporation, 3) clarifying R&D status, and 4) developing action plans towards the DRH Contents compilation from the IHP Flood Project. All presentations and outcomes from the Workshop are downloadable in pdf files.
